As to the name, meaning "Merchant Inn of Kin"Hand'kin Shophouse is a unique concept, where Guests may stay and purchase if they desire, our collection of handcrafts and collectables sourced from exotic parts of the World and Local Craftspersons. The charming Historical Queenslander, conveniently located within 20 min drive of Noosa district, is next door to the start of one of the Great Noosa Trails, where guests may have a wonderful day walking the scenic paths and then savouring the delicacies supplied in our picnic hampers. The Host is an accomplished Cook, who has worked with some of Melbourne's finest Chefs. She has cooked also in France where she lived for 10 years. Hand'kin Shophouse is adorned with lush silks and antique French Fabrics. The retail area of the cottage, showcases handwoven textiles from the Middle East, sensual perfumes from India, and unique Collectables. Guests will feel they are apart of the great trading paths and Inns of Old Times.

Location Information

Kin Kin is Heritage listed with a wonderful iconic Old Hotel and a General Store that offers exceptional homemade country food. Kin Kin is named after a black ant, that is exclusive to this area. On the main Street is the start of one of the Great Noosa Trails. This trail extends for over 20 km. It is perfectly kept and meanders through some of the most picturesque settings. Hand'kin Shophouse offers a Walking Package, which consists of 2 nights accommodation, picnic hamper for your walk, massage on return and a fine in-house dinner of 3 courses.
